You guys I can’t begin to describe the talent of all the ladies responsible for this shoot. My amazing mentor, Ale of Imaginale Design, put
on an inspiring two day workshop that I had the privilege of assisting with. The workshop was for cinematographers or photographers
looking to incorporate video. If you are thinking about video AT ALL you have to subscribe to The Motion Workshop page to find
out about the next one. Ale’s ability to teach and inspire is unmatched and Alex of Ave Styles puts together the most gorgeous and
unique styled shoots imaginable. I wanted to share a few things I learned in the workshop that have been invaluable to me as an artist.
PRE VISUALIZATION: The power of planning a shoot in your mind before bringing it to life. Pinterest is an incredible tool for this. I can’t
even tell you how many secret boards I have for different shoots I’ve planned. This includes an overall look, details, wardrobe, posing etc.
MOVEMENT: Although this concept is paramount for videographers, I found that as a photographer, incorporating movement results
in more natural and free captures, which breathes life into a photo and offers an experience to the viewer beyond a stagnant moment.
Get ready for some eye candy! And don’t forget to watch Ale’s video at the bottom of the post, it’s mind blowing.
And this absolutely perfect video by the ever so fabulous Imaginale:
